Questions about the H64, materials, shipping, returns and care //

What materials are the H64 candleholders made from?

The H64 is made from solid, uncoated metal.

At launch, it is available in stainless steel 1.4301 and brass CuZn37. Both materials are deliberately left uncoated so that their natural surfaces remain visible and can change through touch, air and use.

More about the materials, their behaviour and care can be found under Materials.

What are the dimensions and weight of the H64?

Each of the two elements measures 64 × 60 × 3 mm.

When assembled, they form a three-dimensional object measuring approximately 60 × 60 × 64 mm. For carrying or storage, the two parts can be separated and stored flat inside the DIN A6 book-style packaging.

The stainless-steel H64 weighs approximately 132 g and the brass version approximately 124 g, excluding packaging.

Which candles fit the H64?

The H64 is a two-sided candleholder.

One side is designed for standard taper candles with a diameter of approximately 21–22 mm. The other accommodates standard tealights up to approximately 40 mm in diameter.

How does the H64 interlocking system work?

The H64 consists of two precisely manufactured flat-metal elements that slide crosswise into one another to form the finished object.

No screws, tools or adhesive are required.

To carry or store the H64, simply separate the two elements and place them flat inside the book-style packaging.

You will receive tracking information by email once your order has been dispatched.

What should I keep in mind when using the H64?

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Place the H64 on a stable, heat-resistant surface and keep it away from drafts and anything that can catch fire. Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets.

Do not move the H64 while a candle is burning or while the metal is still hot. Allow the object and any remaining wax to cool completely before handling or disassembling it.

Always follow the safety instructions supplied with the candle you are using.

How do I remove wax residue from the H64?

Allow the wax and the object to cool completely before cleaning.

Carefully remove larger pieces of wax by hand. Remaining residue can be loosened with warm water and removed using a soft cloth.

Do not soak the object and avoid abrasive sponges, aggressive cleaning agents or hard tools, as these can alter the surface.

Dry the object completely with a soft cloth afterwards.

Do uncoated metals change their appearance over time?

Yes. This is an intentional characteristic of the materials we use.

Brass reacts to touch, air and humidity and gradually develops a natural patina. Its surface becomes darker and warmer with use.

Stainless steel 1.4301 changes more subtly, but it can also develop fine traces of touch, cleaning and everyday use.

These expected material changes are part of the character of an uncoated metal object and do not in themselves constitute a defect. Your statutory rights in relation to defective goods remain unaffected.

Can I restore the original shine?

Brass can be polished back towards a brighter finish using a soft cloth and a suitable non-abrasive metal polish.

Stainless steel generally does not require polishing. Clean it with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.

Detailed information about both materials can be found under Materials.

Are signs of use normal?

Yes. The H64 is designed as an object of use.

Fine traces from touch, cleaning and everyday handling, as well as the natural development of patina on brass, are characteristic of uncoated metal.

The expected material behaviour described on our product and Materials pages does not in itself constitute a defect. Statutory rights remain unaffected where a product is defective or does not have the agreed characteristics.

Can I return my order?

Yes.

If you are a consumer, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from an eligible online purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.

You bear the direct cost of return shipping when exercising this right.

Full details can be found in our Refund & Withdrawal Policy and under Shipping & Returns.

Do I need the original packaging for a return?

Not in order to exercise your statutory right of withdrawal.

During the statutory withdrawal period, you may handle the object to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

What happens if my object arrives damaged, defective or incorrect?

Please contact us at studio@lyssier.com as soon as possible with your order number and, where useful, clear photographs of the object and packaging.

If an object is defective, damaged or incorrect, your statutory rights apply. Where statutory subsequent performance is required, Lyssier bears the necessary costs, including necessary transport costs.

Reporting visible transport damage promptly helps us document the issue with the carrier, but it is not a condition of your statutory rights.

What applies to limited editions?

Limited availability does not affect your statutory rights.

If an identical replacement is no longer available, we will work with you on the appropriate solution in accordance with your statutory rights and the circumstances of the individual case.
